Harvey Phillips (12) from Louth, took 2 Gold and 2 Silver medals away from the National Junior Para-Swimming Championships held at Sunderland Aquatic Centre during the competition held on June 24th and 25th. The competition was for Para-Swimmers aged 10-13 years and 14-16 years. Para-swimming uses a classification system to ensure a level playing field for competitive Para-swimmers.

On Saturday 27th November, Jackie Ross, Chairman of Horncastle Otters Swimming Club attended the ASA Aquatic Awards 2016 at The University of Birmingham on behalf of the East Lindsey Club Network in Lincolnshire. This swim21 club network were runners up in the ASA Club Network of the Year category and received the bronze award.

This year marked the twelfth year that Lincolnshire Sport has hosted the Lincolnshire Sports Awards. This year the awards, sponsored by Riseholme College, a part of Bishop Burton College, were the biggest event yet with more than 380 guests in attendance. It is with great regret that Gainsborough Dolphins Swimming Club, on behalf of the family, announces the death of Colin Pitchforth, affectionately known to all as MR P, who sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning (10th August) after his long illness.
Colin had been ill with cancer for sometime withdrawing from teaching/coaching at the club at the end of last year.
Mr P as we all know was a larger than life character and will be greatly missed but will always be remembered as the voice of the poolside in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire and beyond.
