Colin Pitchforth

It is with great regret that Gainsborough Dolphins Swimming Club, on behalf of the family, announces the death of Colin Pitchforth, affectionately known to all as MR P, who sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning (10th August) after his long illness.
Colin had been ill with cancer for sometime withdrawing from teaching/coaching at the club at the end of last year.
Mr P as we all know was a larger than life character and will be greatly missed but will always be remembered as the voice of the poolside in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire and beyond.
I am sure the swimming community throughout the County and the East Midlands joins the club in offering our thoughts, prayers and support to the family at this the most difficult of times.
